Knowing Christ=wanting to repent

And Alma 37 was good today. It reminded me that knowing and learning of Christ naturally makes us want to repent. And that we can withstand any temptation with our faith in Christ.

And in verse 9 it says, the knowledge of the scriptures "brought them unto repentance; that is, they brought them to the knowledge of the Lord their God." So great. I love how those two things work together.

See that ye do them

Mosiah 3 talks about the Atonement. 4 talks about how to use it. Benjamin says to believe! Humble yourself and believe in God, in Christ, in the Atonement. Then he says to believe that we must repent. I love that. It's like, believe that you aren't doing everything right and that you need to fix stuff and constantly be changing and growing and not stagnant.

Lawrence: if we don't seek ways to improve, if we don't ask what lack I yet, we could miss out on opportunities Heavenly Father has organized and created for us to improve.

Family history

I am doing it! For some reason I finally have the motivation. I feel blessed about that. Last week I read a story about Henry G Boyle and it gave me lots of courage to do what is right. It was a story about his conversion and how he wanted to do what was right no matter his familial or social persecution. He even beat up a guy about it!

I'm doing 10 minutes of family history per day and also ponderizing this verse:
