Just like Pharaoh hardened his heart when Moses and Aaron showed him signs and wonders from God, and said that they weren't from God and all that we can dismiss what God says or does. We can say it wasn't from him or decide not to obey it for some reason or justify not obeying it. The story makes me want to think about how God is trying to reach out to me.
